Gingerbread!

I thought it was time that the kids knew the story of the gingerbread man, so I borrowed the book and a CD from the library.  The kids loved the book so much that we listened to and/or read the book at least once a day, if not two or three times.  In fact, they have heard the book so many times, both of them can quote it word for word.  Gibson corrected James when he got the wording wrong one time.

Consequently, Gibson had been begging to make gingerbread men.  He said that as soon as he put the last button on the gingerbread man, that he was going to chase him down and eat him.  As soon as we had all of the ingredients and a cookie cutter, we made gingerbread men.

Gibson is ready to bite any gingerbread man who dares jump off the table.

Tabitha, of course, has to follow suit.

We all decorated gingerbread men.  Gibson decorated one for Mom and had James mark it with an 'M' so I could eat it later.

The chosen gingerbread man who did NOT jump up and run away.

We made 2/3 of the dough into leaves for my MOPS group.  James whipped up some frosting and while he was in Cincinnati I decorated the leaves.

The gingerbread cookies were a huge hit with us and my MOPS group.  We are planning on making them again before Christmas.  Yum!
