Update In Other Words

Here is a list of how Gibson manages to communicate to me, other than crying and whining.

Says:
Kitty, Sassy, Abby, Babby (all mean the same thing - cat. Often comes out as Sassy Babby Babby Sassy)
Baby
Daddy (said really loudly when James comes home)
Hi
Ball
Car
Water (waah)
Star
Shoe
Sock
Apple (sounds like ball)
Cheese (chee)
Up - he says this only after I pick him up
Helicopter (cop cop)
Block (sounds a lot like ball)
Soft - as in Sassy is soft. It comes out Saa-ssy saaaahff
Bye-Bye
Night-Night (Nya nya)
Juice (sounds a little like cheese, except with the lips pursed)

Tonight he was saying "ha", which I think meant hat, but we'll see.

Signs:
More
Please
Book
Eat
Drink
Milk
blows kisses, which is also Thank You

Sounds:
Cow: moo
Cat: aahooo
Dog: arf (or moo)
Chicken: bahk bahk bahk (also the sound for ducks)
Horse: naaay
Bear: rrraaaaarrr
Elephant: oooOOOOOoooo
Fire Engine: OOooOOooOOoo
Car: rrrrrrrrr, beep beep, and also crashing noises
Tickle: ticka ticka ticka

Sings:
Itsy Bitsy Spider - and does the motions
Jesus Loves Me - not very often any more, the spider has taken over.

He still doesn't call me anything in particular, it's usually "uuh?" with a hand pointing to something or tugging on my clothes. When you ask him to point to Mommy, he points to James, as he does when you ask him to point to Daddy.

We could have sworn that he said baseball the other night when we were watching the Dodger game, but he wouldn't repeat it.

He often tries to repeat what we are saying, and does a pretty good job. However, those words don't always stay in his vocabulary. So I've just listed the ones that he says frequently.
