Can you believe he's FIVE already? Gibson has been looking forward to this day for a long time! We even made a countdown calendar just to get ready. Every day he would take a crayon and circle the current day's number and then cross off yesterday's number. It has been something to look forward to every day. You know he's excited about something when he poses for a picture!
James has been practicing making a Buddy cake for Gibson's dinosaur party that is tomorrow. Gib has been so excited about his cake. He can't wait to see the finished product tomorrow!!
This morning, when Gibson woke up, I told him "Happy Birthday" and he started jumping up and down, "Am I FIVE now? Wow! I grew even bigger overnight!"
Before James left for work, Gibson got to open a few presents that have been taunting him from a high shelf in our living room. Tonight, when James comes home, we'll continue celebrating with Buddy T-Rex's favorite flavor of cake - meat flavored! Okay, it's really meatloaf. And then the grand finale present - it's a BIG one!
Tomorrow we celebrate his birthday with bowling and a dinosaur party. He's excited about all of his friends coming to bowl with him.

Yeah, it's finally here! Happy Birthday Gibson! Emma is ALMOST as excited as you :) She wondered this morning if you like birthday hugs?! She also wondered what your favorite cake flavor was!!
Well, Emma, I don't know if Gib would like birthday hugs or not - it totally depends on his mood, but you are welcome to give it a try! He wants a meat flavored cake, but I think he likes chocolate as well.
