Ok, I know it was two weeks ago . . . sorry.
My parents came up to visit us for ten days and to celebrate Gibson's third birthday. The Saturday before his birthday, we had a construction themed party, because, despite the poll, that is what Gibson really wanted and I couldn't find all the Bob the Builder stuff I wanted.
Saturday morning Gibson got dressed up in his brand new-to-him Bob the Builder overalls. Then, just before his friends, Steele and Brogan, came over, he got a tool apron added to his outfit, complete with tools.
Tabitha even got in on the dressing up action by wearing one of the pretty party hats. She is wearing an outfit that Grandma Bev just couldn't resist buying for her.

My mom decorated the cake with construction vehicles. They are making a road out of chocolate sprinkles.

Gibson was so excited about his cake, he could hardly wait to blow out the candles. But what he really wanted was to play with the trucks. One truck went to each of the boys to play with while we enjoyed the cake.

This is not the best picture, but it is the only one we have of Brogan, Steele, and their mom, Marcella. The boys all had differing opinions of the cake, some wouldn't eat the frosting, some would only eat frosting, but all of them loved the 'road' and kept asking for more road to eat.
