Wednesday, James was feeling a little sad because we would be spending Thanksgiving by ourselves, when, lo and behold, we were invited to spend the day with our friends Brett and Candice Muckey!
Thursday morning we loaded everyone into the van and drove to Albany for a Thanksgiving treat with our friends.
We had delicious food and great company. The highlight of the food was when the candied yams caught on fire in the oven. Excitement all around!
The Muckey's have a large dog named Meringue, who was very excited to see Gibson. He, however, was not at all excited to see Meringue. Gibson has this love/hate relationship with dogs: he love to see them, but doesn't want them to pay any attention to him. He stayed on the couch between James and me for the first hour; paying close attention to Meringue the entire time.
During dinner, he finally became thrilled with her because she was under the table brushing against his feet. After dinner, he was throwing toys for her and following her around the house. The only time he was scared was when Meringue went on her doggy-streak around the upstairs, came full speed down the stairs and bowled Gibson over. He laughed about it later, though.
