We celebrated James' birthday on the 31st at home with some present opening, and then went out to dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. We ordered the yummy Chipotle Chicken Pizza and the Thai Chicken Pizza, both of which are spicy. Gibson ate most of the Southwest Salsa that was on the Chipotle Pizza - he really likes his veggies. At one point, I think the spiciness was creeping up on him because he started clawing at his mouth (not frantically - don't worry, we don't torture our son!), so we gave him a piece of bread and that eased the burn.
My parents sent him some Dodger tees and my brother gave him a scanner for the computer that James has been wanting. He also got three cds from his parents which came at just the right time. He immediately went upstairs to convert them into MP3s to put on his iPod, since he was flying out to Cincinnati the next day.
Gibby was very good about handing Daddy first the card, and then the present. He even signed the card himself!
