It's the end of our first year of officially homeshooling. Gibson was in Kindergarten, and Tabi, while not registered in school, was doing pre-school. Zeke liked to participate a lot and often had "seatwork" to do. We were schooling through a public charter school as well as going to Community Bible Study and a private homeschool co-op. Gibson had enrichment classes on Fridays through the charter school. He was also involved in Little League for the first time. We had a very busy year with lots of field trips and events to go to.
At the beginning of the year, Gibson was definitely at a Kindergarten level, but by the end of the year, he was almost caught up to the end of first grade level. All of his teachers commented on how much he improved socially and scholastically throughout the year.
Every morning at the breakfast table, I would go through a Bible story, verse memorization, letter of the week grammar, sight words, and catechism type lessons. Then we would go on to reading, writing, and math, and then whatever other activity we had going on that day. Tuesdays were the only day where we had nothing previously scheduled in the morning.
As the kids did artwork, I would hang it on the wall in our play room. Gibson and Tabi each had their own wall. Zeke didn't do quite as much art as they did, but he did do some.
