Six Month Update: Tabitha

Tabitha went to the doctor yesterday for her six month check up. She turned six months on February 19. Her well-child visits are based on her chronological age, not her gestational age, which is four months. For a six-month-old, she is behind developmentally, but that is to be expected. Her doctor says she is doing great for a four-month-old.

Stats:
Length: 27 inches - 90th percentile for 6 months (which is off the charts for a 4 month old!)
Weight: 13 lbs, 1 oz - 5th percentile for 6 months (which is about 25% for a 4 month old)
Head circumference: 16 1/4" - 20th percentile for 6 months (which is about 50% for a 4 month old)

Compare her stats to Gibsons when he was the same gestational age: Click Here She is just over two inches longer, but with a smaller head, and they weigh the same.

So, just like Gibson, she is tall and skinny. Still has no hair, but her eyes are getting lighter, so I think they will be blue like James' eyes. She loves to talk and be talked to; this morning she was squealing (LOUDLY) with delight at her mobile. She has rolled over once, but hasn't attempted that again. She is reaching for objects and sometimes manages to grab them, but she's getting better at that every day. She has not shown any readiness for solid foods yet, so we're leaving that alone. She sleeps well at night, usually going to sleep between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. and will want to eat anywhere between midnight and 4 a.m.

And, so because a post without a picture is boring, here is her Outfit of the Day. It is rather a spring-like outfit, not at all befitting of a drizzly day like today. Therefore, the Ugg-like boots to balance it out. :)
