Saturday, James and I decided we would go looking for some snow for Gibson to play in. We headed up to Government Camp on Mt. Hood. We didn't seem to be having much luck finding a place where we could go sledding and finally ended up at a ski park that rented inner tubes. Well, they were sold out of tubes for the day. But one of the workers told us we could go play in the snow behind the parking lot, as long as we couldn't be seen from the street. So we trekked through yellow snow (lots of dog poo, too) and finally found a place where Gibson could play a little bit. Here is the picture to prove it.
We did not stay long. I think he played in the snow for 20 minutes and then we went back down the mountain. Twenty minutes into our drive home, Gibson fell asleep. This is very unusual. It has been more than a year since he has fallen asleep in the car. I was fortunate to get a picture with my cell phone, just to prove he fell asleep.
Next time we go looking for snow, we will be much more prepared. We now have some ideas of where to go, and of what to bring. Next time will be better!
