Gibson had his 2 month doctor appointment today. He's doing great! He now weighs 11 lbs, and is 23 3/8 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile in all categories (just in case you were wondering). He had his first round of vacinations - 5 shots in all. Poor little guy. He didn't enjoy the shots at all.
He's doing so much better now. He's able to put himself to sleep without screaming his head off first, like he was doing a few weeks ago. He'll sleep 3 to 4 hours at a time at night, but continues to wake up at 1:00 a.m. even when he's not hungry. I think his body is just used to waking up at that time, so I'm trying to wean his body off of that wake time by just giving him a pacifier (of course, if he's hungry, I'll feed him, what kind of mother do you think I am?).
He is such a serious little guy. He just looks & looks at you, but rarely smiles. He can look at his mobile for 30 minutes at a time and just coos away at it (but no smiles). He also loves looking at himself in the mirror when we bathe him (but again, no smiles). We have to prompt the smiles out of him at this point. But when he does, it is the highlight of our day.
