2011 in Review

This has been an eventful year!  It's hard to believe that Tabitha couldn't walk when 2011 started, and now she is running around and speaking in full sentences.  We've had some happy news and some not-so-happy news, but we have been blessed overall.  It was a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to seeing what God will do with this next year!

January
Gibson stopped calling us Mommy and Daddy, we are now Mom and Dad.
Tabitha started cruising around by herself on the furniture.

February
James, Vinae and Gibson all caught pneumonia.  Fortunately, it passed Tabitha by.

March
Gibson turned 4 years old.
Tabitha took her first solo steps.

April
Tabitha was able to walk on her own at 20 months old.

May
The kids got a 'new' kitchen toy which has given them hours and hours of entertainment.
We celebrated Vinae's birthday in Astoria.

June
Tabitha also stopped calling us Mommy and Daddy. 

July
We harvested a few peas from our last unproductive garden in this house.  I will not fight with the weeds and stunted plants another year.  Next summer the plot gets turned into grass.

August
We found out we were pregnant with number three, due in late March, 2012!
Had a family vacation in the California Redwoods with James' parents and his brother Andy's family.  The kids enjoyed the time with cousin Mason.

September
Our apple tree had a bumper crop of apples this year.  I made a lot of apple butter and traded it for enough preserves to last the entire year.

October
My mom was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer and had surgery to remove the tumor.

November
We found out we are having a boy!
We learned how to make gingerbread men.

December
James' parents flew in the day after Christmas and spent a week with us.  James had the week off.
