Jumpy Squirrel

We have lived in our townhouse for almost five years now, and have never, ever, seen a squirrel in our yard. . .until recently. We have been feeding the blue jays peanuts for a couple of months now, and all of a sudden, the squirrels have discovered that fact.

The squirrel ate this peanut right away.

This one was picked up from the garden and . . .

. . . transplanted into our grass.

Gibson loves to watch 'Jumpy Squirrel' find the peanuts in our yard and squeals at the squirrel until he can't see him anymore. 'Jumpy' is the name of the squirrel in Curious George.
