David, my mom, Gibson and I went to Oak Glen to go "apple picking." We didn't actually pick any apples, but we bought some, as well as apple doughnuts, apple-cherry cider, apple pie, and apple crumble (which I shared with the Winns). Click here to see more of Oak Glen.
Because of the fires in the area, the drive was very smoky, but once we got to Oak Glen, the sky was blue and the air was breathable again. What a relief! The day turned out to be in the mid 70's with a nice breeze, as compared with the LA basin where it was in the upper 80's and there was a viscous wind shoving smoke down your lungs.
Here are some beautiful pictures that David took of our trip:

On our way to Snow-line, we saw a bobcat crossing the road. A few seconds later, her kitten crossed behind her. This is the kitten. It looked like it was maybe 8 weeks old.

Great pictures. It would be fun if we were down there together sometime, to do fun family excursions like this together. I almost went down to San Diego that week - we could have gone to Oak Glen with you guys. Maybe another time.
