Minion Madness

Gibson and Zeke's birthday party was all about minions.  Gibson and Tabi both wore Minion shirts, and Zeke dressed up in overalls like a Minion.  Grandpa and Grandma Winn came, as well as Andy, Mandy, Mason and Amanda.  Gibson's friend, Jacob also came.  The Tilson grandparents came the next day to celebrate.

Gibson wanted to play some Minion games.  The first game was "Pin the Eye On the Minion." Tabi is taking her eye-holding job seriously.

Gibson's eye was a bit off.  Jacob (on the right) got the eye smack in the middle on his first try.  (A little story about the purple minions - after watching Despicable Me 2 for the first time, the kids liked to stick out their bottom teeth and make horrid grunting noises like a purple minion.  I have frequently banned minion activity in the house.  It was all a go for the party, however.)  The minion is named Carl, by the way.

 

Tabi was silly and tried to pin the eye on the curtains.  She eventually ended up at least on the Minion.

 The second game we had was "Feed Bob the Banana."  They tried to throw the banana into Bob's mouth.  (A little back story here: Bob the Minion has been living in our house for months now.  He appeared soon after Tabi's birthday in August when she received the movie Despicable Me.  The kids can see him, however, the adults cannot.  Bob gets into all sorts of trouble and gets blamed for many mishaps.  Needless to say, Bob had to have a part in the party.)

 Sometime between the first game and the second game, Gibson decided to dress up like Captain Hook.

Zeke was able to get the banana into Bob's mouth on the first "throw."  

 Tabi wasn't able to get the banana into Bob's mouth and seemed a little put out by that fact.

 The yellow Minion cupcakes were for gluten tolerant guests.

The purple Minion cupcakes were gluten free for Zeke and the other g-free guests.

Gibson turned 7 the day of the party and Zeke turned 2 a few days later.

Zeke received a large stuffed Minion from Jacob and immediately dubbed it Bob.  Zeke loves Bob and drags him around everywhere.  Bob still gets into trouble frequently.
