Due Date

Last Tuesday evening I received a phone call:

"Hi, Vinae. I'm calling to confirm your 5:00 a.m. check-in time for your cesarian section tomorrow morning."

"Oh!" I said, rather surprised. "I had my baby seven weeks ago!"

Well, she was also rather surprised, especially when I told her that my OBGYN's nurse had cancelled all of my other appointments. She apologized and we both got a good laugh out of it.

Today is Tabitha's official due date. She was scheduled to be born on October 7th. She was actually born on August 19th. Strange to think that I should have just been getting out of the hospital with a newborn, but that I have a seven week old baby in the crib behind me.
