12 Month Check-up

Gibson had his twelve month check up on Wednesday. He's doing great! Dr. Sweeney was shocked at how much Gibson eats for such a skinny little guy - about 8 oz at every meal, 5 meals a day. He's almost walking everywhere by himself. He's walked across the livingroom a number of times now, and has no qualms about letting go and stepping forth.

We're having such a blast with him! He likes to imitate everything we do, so we need to start being careful not to do something that isn't good for a one year old to do. Easier said than done!

Here's his stats:
Height: 30 inches (just above 50%)
Weight: 19 lbs, 14 oz (10-15%)

Favorite food: Pancakes - he even chooses pancakes above banana, which I would have said was his favorite food a month ago.

Favorite toys: balls, spoons (still), musical instruments (drum box, bongos, keyboard, guitar - which he's not allowed to touch) and the new push-truck that Grandpa & Grandma Tilson got him for his birthday. He loves walking behind it and has figured that when he walks into a wall, he can go to the other side of the truck and push it back the way he came (that is, of course, if he doesn't throw a fit).

Favorite book: any with pictures of babies.

Favorite things he isn't supposed to have and will throw a temper tantrum over: cell phone, tv controller, PS2 controller (he has his own, but prefers Dad's)

Favorite places: Penguin exibit at the zoo, and being on Daddy's shoulders.

Gibson is almost 11 months in this picture, and I've posted it before, but I had to post it again. Who can resist those eyes!! I have this as the background on our desktop and it's blown up so that most of what you see are eyes. Cool!
