On March 2nd, at 9:17 in the morning, Gibson Josiah Winn let out a scream that made his parents smile. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and was 20 inches long. He was handed to his parents for his first picture and then the rest, as they say, was history!
My c-section went very well . . . after they finally got the IV going (it took 5 tries!). The doctor joked that the surgery went more smoothly than the prep for the surgery did! James also did very well; he didn't faint once!James went with Gibson as the nurse prepared to get him all cleaned up. He didn't enjoy his first bath very much - even though the pictures seem to say he was sleeping soundly!

The grandparents were all on hand to hold their first grandchild. And held he was . . . there was hardly a time when he wasn't in someone's arms.

On March 5th, we were discharged and sent home to begin our lives as a family of 3!
